About us

A folklore ensemble from Ruse.

Our story

Makamlii are a relatively new Bulgarian folklore ensemble from Ruse. We are built around the live sound of gaida, tapan, and accordion — without unnecessary show, with respect for the song and attention to the event.

We work as musicians: solid preparation, respect for the song, attention to the event, and a sound that stays ours.

gaida

Boyan Kurdov

Boyan leads Makamlii's melody. He plays with a full tone and respect for the phrase — so the gaida is a voice, not just a prop.

Experience

Stage work in folklore programs, concerts, and celebration events.
